I grew up in a small house in a neighborhood located in Boulder, Colorado. This house had three bedrooms and only one bathroom for my family of six to share. Even Though it was a small house I loved it because we had a big backyard, it was near some of my family, and we had things like the bike park and  Boulder Creek paths only a few minutes away. This house was my home for ten years of my life and during this time I created many memories.

Some of my best memories as a child in this house were spending time in my backyard with my sister. We had a lot of things to do in our backyard. We had a trampoline, a sandbox, a garden, a swing, and a lot of space to run around in. During the summer we would always go out to play and have water balloon fights and in the winter we would always build snowmen. When I was younger I remember helping my parents out in the garden during the summertime. My sister and I were always given the job to water all the crops and we'd always end up playing around with the water and getting wet. Another thing I remember doing was bringing out my family to play kickball in our backyard. It was always so fun and the time went by very fast.

I have only ever lived in Boulder and I think it's such a great city. We have a view of the mountains, a lot of trails to walk in, many outdoor activities, and in my opinion, the weather is great even though it's constantly changing. One thing I always liked to do as a kid was going on bike rides around  Boulder Creek pathways near my house. My mom would take my cousins, my sister, and me on these paths and we would ride our bikes for about 40 minutes. It was one of the things I always looked forward to doing in the afternoon. Another thing is that my neighborhood is just a few minutes away from the bike park so when my sister and I learned to ride our bikes my mom would take us to the bike park and we would spend hours there. Whenever I would go on bike rides with my mom and my family in the afternoon, most of the time we would come across Sprinklers and my sister and I would always run through them. I always enjoyed doing that.

I always liked living in my neighborhood for one reason:  my cousin lived a few houses away. This meant growing up we got to spend a lot of time together. It was nice because if either of us ever needed something or just wanted to hang out we were nearby. In my neighborhood, there was a pool so whenever we used to go we would call our cousin and invite her to join us. We would go almost everywhere together. Living just a few houses away made us have a closer relationship and I'm grateful for that.

My childhood home is always going to be a part of me because it's the place where my memories as a kid were created and where I grew up. I'm always going to be thankful for all this home and the good times spent here.
